Aims and Objectives

The MSc (Project  Management) Program aims to provide both development and construction professionals with the sound management skills and techniques which are necessary for the successful completion of complex development projects.

The program is taught by senior faculty members and eminent practitioners from the construction industry. Both the art and science of successful project delivery are given due attention in a carefully structured arrangement of modules delivered in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops, and management exercises.

In addition, the program involves two residential visits, one local and the other overseas. These visits are designed to provide participants with the exposure necessary for project managers to operate in an international environment. Past overseas visits have included Vietnam, Hong Kong, Philippines, London, Shanghai and Beijing. The program also allows candidates to make a choice to either complete a dissertation or alternatively approved elective modules from other graduate programs.

This international nature of the program attracts specialists representing all disciplines in development and construction. Participants from overseas feature strongly in all intakes, and the wide mix of expertise allows for meaningful exchange and interaction at a graduate level.

Exchange agreements with renowned overseas universities also enable participants to explore and exchange ideas as well as work together with their foreign counterparts.
