Exchange program

Under a Memorandum of Agreement signed between NUS and Texas A&M University of U.S., both institutions have a dual-degree exchange program between NUS's MSc(Project Management) program and Texas A&M's Master of Science in Land Management (MSLD) or Master of Science in Construction Management (MSCM) programs. Over the years, four graduate students from Texas A&M's Land Development program have successfully participated in the MSc(Project Management) program under this arrangement.

"The MSc (PM) program at NUS provided valuable insight into the technical and analytical side of project management and complemented the real estate skills learned at Texas A&M.
Studying at NUS also provided a broad introduction to the business opportunities in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region.
Since returning to the United States, I have worked for RREEF in San Francisco. The firm is a real estate investment advisor that acquires, develops and manages real estate investments in primary markets throughout the United States. RREEF has over $18 billion ($U.S.) in assets under management and is the U.S branch of Deutsche Bank Global Real Estate." -- Dan Sheridan

"By taking part in the exchange program I was able to further my education whilst also expanding my perspective of cultures foreign to me. I entered the program with the intent of learning about real estate development outside of the United States. NUS was a great fit, as it is a highly respected university in a region I was most interested in working in, and being located in Singapore, permitted me to live in a foreign culture but use my native language. The effort by the MSc(PM) program to recruit foreign students further enhanced my education, as I can count at least eight different nationalities represented among the two intakes that I was a part of. Interacting with such a diverse group, while at times stressful, has certainly better prepared me for future situations where the values of others and their perspectives differ greatly from mine.
Attending NUS and living in Singapore provided me with opportunities and understanding I simply could not have acquired in the U.S." -- Christopher Clyde

"After completing my dissertation and a trip around Africa, I returned to America and became a Land Development Manager for US Home/Lennar, the largest homebuilder in the States. I progressed from managing site work and procurement to financial analysis, land acquisition, public approvals and site design. Highlights included a successful suit against an obstructing municipality.
Over two and a half years, I completed 252 home sites, and presided over more than 2,030 home sites in 3 states, all the while thoroughly flexing the procurement and financial analysis skills gleaned from the MSc(PM)." -- Tim Fisher
